A small and clean town in northwest Thailand. Laos is the opposite side across Mekong River.

The bus came up to the north from Bangkok through the night and got to Nong Khai before
dawn.

Walking around the markets is one of the interesting thing during travels in southeast
Asian countries. Lots of curious food materials are displayed both sides of the paths. People
in southeast Asian countries have no taboo about food and I think they are very rich
about this point. The market in Nong Khai is also very busy. we can hear the saleswomen's
fine calls here and there.

WAT KAEK
There are a lot of very strange stone statues in a strange temple on the outskirts of Nong Khai
