In November I enjoyed coloured autumn leaves in some temples and scenic spots in Kyoto. Although I was born in Kyoto, I had lived in other places since the graduation. And the end of last year I came back to Kyoto. That's why everything to see is so fresh for me! I want to tell you what I got impressed in Kyoto's autumn. Please have a look at some photos

I enjoy running my off-road motorbike in the mountain rough roads these days. The mountainsides are beautifully colored with autumn leaves now in Japan, and it is really cool to run through the big nature. Although still I sometimes fall down with poor riding technique, I am getting used to the motorbike. Next I will be good at machine maintenance.
You will see the beautiful autumn pictures of the central Japan (Nagano Pref.) by a click below.

I came back home the day before yesterday from another motorbike tour for northern Japan (North Tohoku and Hokkaido). I left Kyoto on August 5 and the mileage reached a total of about 5000km. Camping in forests, Taking comfortable open-air baths, talking other touring riders, I enjoyed big nature of Northern Japan and studied its history. This area was developed later than the rest of Japan. Most of Hokkaiko was for Ainu people until the end of Edo period and even Tohoku area (the north part of Honshu) was not important for rulers in those days. But in further ancient time (about 3,000 to 10,000 years ago) , this area was rather advanced. Recently some large-scale ruins of ancient communities has been unearthed in this area. Anyway, I felt we have to respect and take care of the nature and wildlife more.

Last week I came back from Hokkaido, where I was traveled for a month. In spite of some accidents, I enjoyed this journey very much.
It was for the first time for me to travel Hokkaido without work, and I couldn't believe that there are such beautiful places with full of nature in Japan. Still now we can see a lot of primeval forests and wildlife. I took open-air hot springs here and there, went fishing at the lake, and slept in the tent with other nice riders. If you come to Japan, it might be a good idea to visit there ( except long cold winter season ).
I am terribly sorry that most pictures I took there might be lost because the memory card in my camera was broken as well as my shoulder blade, which I broke when I fell to the ground with my motorbike. But I will write something that I got impressed.

Hi ! About 2 months passed by after coming back from the tour for Thailand and Australia. I managed to start this homemade somehow. Although it is not enough now, I will make it rich in contents gradually. Please visit here sometimes!

Now, I will be touring Hokkaido, which is the most northern main island in Japan, on June 10 by motorbike. I will be staying there for nearly 1 month. There are some "rider houses" in Hokkaido. We can stay there for free or less $10 par night. And other accommodations are also not as expensive as those in Honshu, mainland. What is more, we can enjoy camping and free hot springs in the great nature. I will report about this tour after coming back in July. See you !
